The objectives of the reference centre are:

• Develop interdisciplinary studies and research on various dimensions of Food and Nutrition Security and Sovereingty (FNSS)  andHuman Rights to Food;
• Conduct training activities and propagate knowledge regarding the topic;
• Propose, monitor and evaluate public policies and actions on FNSS;
• Promote interaction between education, research and extension in the field.
• Provide better accessability to specialized bibliography to students and researchers.
