What we understand as Human Right to Adequate Food and Health

“It is Realizing a basic human right, of guaranteeing permanent and regular access, in a socially fair manner, the proper feeding practices to the biological and social aspects of individuals, in accordance with the life cycle and special dietary needs, considering and adapting the traditional local references when needed. It must comply with the principles of variety, quality, balance, moderation and pleasure (flavor), the dimensions of gender, race and ethnicity, and forms of environmentally sustainable production, free of physical contaminants, chemical and biological and genetically modified organisms. “ (III National SAN Conference, 2007).
